Pat Toomay Autographs
Pat Toomay is a former American football player who played eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL) as a defensive end. Toomay was born on June 28, 1948, in Dallas, Texas. He attended Lake Highlands High School in Dallas and later went on to play college football at the University of Texas. During his college career, Toomay helped the Texas Longhorns win their first collegiate championship in the 1969 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) National Championship Game.
Toomay was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 1970 NFL Draft. He played for the Cowboys from 1970 to 1974, where he was a part of the team that won Super Bowl VI in 1972. He then played for the Buffalo Bills from 1975 to 1977 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1978 to 1979. Throughout his NFL career, Toomay played in 98 games and recorded 20 sacks.
After his NFL career, Toomay became a writer, and he authored several books, including The Crunch and Twilight of the Long-ball Gods. Also, he has written articles for Sports Illustrated and other publications. Toomay currently resides in the Pacific Northwest of the United States and continues to write.
