Pete Liske Autographs
Pete Liske was an accomplished American football player who made his mark in the National Football League (NFL) during the 1970s. He was born on May 24, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and grew up with a passion for football. After playing quarterback at Penn State in the early 1960s, Liske went on to have a successful career in the NFL.
Liske began his professional career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1964, and he played there for three seasons. In 1967, he was traded to the expansion team, the Miami Dolphins, where he became their first starting quarterback. During his time with the Dolphins, Liske was known for his strong arm and impressive accuracy, which helped lead the team to several victories. He was named the team's MVP in both 1968 and 1969.
Following his tenure with the Dolphins, Liske played for the Denver Broncos and the Chicago Bears before retiring from football in 1974. He finished his career with a total of 4,356 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, and 31 interceptions. Although his career stats may not be as impressive as some of the NFL's all-time greatest quarterbacks, Liske left an indelible mark on the game and will always be remembered as a trailblazer for the Miami Dolphins.
