Preston Pearson Autographs
Preston Pearson was born on January 17, 1945, in Freeport, Texas, and was a standout football player at the University of Illinois. After playing college football, Pearson was selected in the 12th round of the 1967 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Colts. Pearson played in the NFL for 14 seasons, primarily as a running back and a receiver, for the Colts, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Dallas Cowboys. He played in three Super Bowl games, winning two with the Cowboys in Super Bowl VI and XII.
Pearson was known for his versatility, as he could play multiple positions and excel in all of them. During his career, he amassed over 9,000 all-purpose yards and scored 72 touchdowns, proving to be a valuable asset to the teams he played for. In addition to his impressive stats, Pearson was also recognized for his leadership qualities, and he served as a team captain during his time with the Cowboys.
After his playing career, Pearson transitioned into coaching, serving as an assistant coach for the Cowboys, the Arizona Cardinals, and the New England Patriots. In recognition of his contributions to the game, Pearson was inducted into the University of Illinois Athletic Hall of Fame in 1990. He remains a notable figure in American football history, especially for his versatility and leadership on the field.
