Ralph Neely was an American football player born on February 16, 1943, in Littlefield, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University and played for the Aggies football team from 1961-1964. Neely was known for his remarkable strength and technique, primarily in his blocking skills. Neely began his professional career with the Dallas Cowboys in 1965 after being selected in the second round of the NFL draft. He played for twelve seasons with the Cowboys and was a member of the team's legendary "Doomsday Defense" in the 1970s. Neely was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and a five-time All-Pro during his career. Moreover, he played in five Super Bowls, including the Super Bowl VI, in which he helped the Cowboys win the championship.

After retiring from the NFL, Neely was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 1993 as an acknowledgement of his contributions to American football. He became a successful businessman and served as president of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. Ralph Neely was among the greatest offensive linemen in the history of the NFL.
