Rashaad Penny is an American football running back who currently plays for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). Born on February 2, 1996 in Norwalk, California, he attended Norwalk High School where he excelled in track and field, as well as football. In his senior year, he rushed for over 2,500 yards and scored 48 touchdowns, earning him league MVP honors.
After high school, Penny attended San Diego State University where he played for the Aztecs football team. In his college career, he rushed for 3,656 yards and 38 touchdowns, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. He also set a school record for all-purpose yards with 7,515. In his senior year, he was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a consensus All-American.
In the 2018 NFL Draft, Penny was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round, 27th overall. In his rookie season, he played in 14 games and rushed for 419 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown in a game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite some injuries and setbacks, Penny has shown great potential as a dynamic and versatile running back in the NFL, with a promising career ahead of him.
