Rashied Davis is a former professional American football player who played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. He was born on July 24, 1979, in Los Angeles, California, and attended the University of San Jose State, where he played college football as a wide receiver for four years. Despite not being selected in the 2002 NFL Draft, Davis was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Jose Sabercats of the Arena Football League. Aside from his professional football career, Rashied Davis is also known for his charitable work. He founded the Rashied Davis Charities in 2008, which aims to empower underprivileged youth and provide them with opportunities to succeed. The charity has funded a number of projects, including scholarships for college students, school supplies for needy children, and mentoring programs for at-risk youth. Davis has also been an advocate for education and serves on the board of the Chicago Scholars Foundation, which provides college access and success mentoring to Chicago's low-income, first-generation students.
