Reggie Brown, born on January 13, 1981, in Carrollton, Georgia, was a standout multi-sport athlete in high school before becoming a successful wide receiver in college and the NFL. At Carrollton High School, Brown was named the AJC's all-classification state player of the year and Georgia's consensus No. 1 recruit. He played a crucial role in Carrollton's 1998 state championship victory, catching seven passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
Brown continued his football career at the University of Georgia, where he caught 144 passes for 2,008 yards and 12 touchdowns over four seasons. During his time with the Bulldogs, the team achieved a 50-14 record, including a 13-1 mark in 2002 when they won an SEC title and the Sugar Bowl.
In 2005, Brown was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round (35th overall) of the NFL Draft. He made an immediate impact as a rookie, leading all first-year players with 571 receiving yards. Brown's best season came in 2006 when he recorded 816 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Over his five-year NFL career, all with the Eagles, Brown amassed 177 receptions for 2,574 yards and 17 touchdowns. After being traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010, he was released before the start of the regular season, effectively ending his professional football career.
