Anderson played for four different teams during his 12-year career in the NFL. He began his career with the New York Jets and played for them from 1993 to 2002, earning a reputation as one of the league's premier pass-catching fullbacks. In 2003, Anderson signed with the Dallas Cowboys and played for them for one season before moving on to the Baltimore Ravens for the 2004 season.
