Rick Upchurch Autographs
Rick Upchurch was born on May 20, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio. He is a former American Football player who played for the Denver Broncos from 1975 to 1983. Upchurch attended Centennial High School in Compton, California, where he played football and ran track. He then enrolled at the University of Minnesota, where he played college football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Upchurch was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 1975 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as one of the league's most dynamic players, earning four Pro Bowl selections and three All-Pro honors during his career. He was known for his exceptional speed, agility, and ability to make plays on special teams. In 1976, he set an NFL record with four punt returns for touchdowns, a feat that has since been tied but never surpassed.
After retiring from the NFL, Upchurch became a successful businessman and a motivational speaker. He founded the Rick Upchurch Academy, a youth football program in Denver, where he coached and mentored young athletes. In 2011, he was inducted into the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the team. Rick Upchurch’s career in American Football is a testament to his exceptional talent and hard work as an athlete, and his dedication to helping young people achieve their dreams is a shining example of his character and passion.
