Robin Cole was a professional American football player who spent most of his career playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The star athlete was born and raised in Long Beach, California on June 20, 1955. Cole attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School where his football skills were recognized early. After retiring from football in 1988, Cole went on to coach at many different levels including high school, college, and professional. He worked as a linebackers coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2005 to 2009, and made a positive impact on many young players throughout his career. He was inducted into the University of New Mexico Athletic Hall of Honor in 1994, and the Long Beach Polytechnic High School Hall of Fame in 2000.
