Rodney Peete Autographs
Rodney Peete is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 16 seasons. Born on March 16, 1966, in Mesa, Arizona, Peete started playing football while in high school at Sahuaro High School. He then went on to play college football for the University of Southern California (USC) where he had an impressive career as a quarterback. During his time at USC, Peete led the Trojans to a Rose Bowl victory in 1985 and was later inducted into the USC Athletic Hall of Fame.
In 1989, Peete was drafted into the NFL by the Detroit Lions in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. He played for Detroit for five seasons, and in 1994, was traded to the Dallas Cowboys where he served as a backup quarterback for two years. In 1996, Peete signed with the Philadelphia Eagles where he had the most successful years of his career. He started for the Eagles for three seasons and led them to the playoffs twice.
In 2000, Peete signed with the Carolina Panthers where he played for four seasons. He then went on to play for the Washington Redskins and the Oakland Raiders before retiring in 2004. Over his NFL career, Peete played in 114 games and completed 1,322 passes for 16,338 yards and 76 touchdowns. In addition to his successful NFL career, Peete has also been involved in various charitable organizations, including the HollyRod Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, actress Holly Robinson Peete, to support families affected by autism and Parkinson's disease.
