Rodney Thomas Autographs
Rodney Thomas was a former American football player who played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for five years. Born on May 14, 1973, in Groveton, Texas, Thomas was an exceptional athlete since his high school days. He played for the Groveton High School and was a star player in both football and track and field. Later, he attended Texas A&M University and continued to hone his football skills.
In 1995, Rodney Thomas was selected by the Houston Oilers in the third round of the NFL draft. He started his professional career with the Oilers and played for them for three seasons before Houston's team relocated to Tennessee and became the Titans. Thomas's time with the Titans was cut short due to injury, and he spent a year away from the league before returning to play for the Atlanta Falcons in 1999. He spent his last two NFL seasons with the Seattle Seahawks before retiring in 2001.
Throughout his football career, Rodney Thomas was known for his versatility and speed on the field. He played both as a running back and a receiver, making him a valuable asset for any team. In his five-year NFL career, he rushed for a total of 1,973 yards, caught 123 passes for 1,026 yards, and scored 12 touchdowns. After his retirement, Thomas returned to his hometown Groveton, where he remained active in the community, coaching young football players and volunteering at local schools. He passed away on June 13, 2014, at the age of 41.
