Romeo Crennel Autographs

Romeo Crennel is a former American Football player who is well-respected in the sport. Crennel was born on June 18, 1947, in Lynchburg, Virginia, and attended Western Kentucky University where he was a standout football player. After college, Crennel was not immediately picked up by any NFL teams but later began working as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Western Kentucky before moving on to coach the defense for a few different colleges.
In 1981, Crennel joined the New York Giants as a special teams coach, and in the following year, he was promoted to defensive line coach. Crennel’s leadership played a critical role in helping the Giants win two Super Bowls in 1986 and 1990; he was even awarded the NFL Assistant Coach of the Year Award in 2003. After serving as an assistant coach for 25 years, Crennel finally got his shot as head coach of the Cleveland Browns in 2005. He later joined the Kansas City Chiefs as their defensive coordinator in 2010, where he helped lead the team to a victory in the 2016 NFL playoffs.
Throughout his career, Romeo Crennel has showcased an exceptional understanding of defense strategy, which has made him a well-loved and highly respected coach in the league. Crennel has trained some of the game's greatest talent, including Bill Belichick, Bill Parcells, and Nick Saban. His dedication to the sport is evident from his long career and continued work in the league. Even now, as a retired coach, he serves as a consultant for different teams, passing down his knowledge and expertise to the young and upcoming generation of coaches in the NFL.
