Ryan Switzer is a former American football wide receiver and return specialist. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on November 4, 1994. Switzer attended George Washington High School in Charleston, where he played football as a wide receiver and punt returner. In his senior year, he broke the West Virginia single-season receptions record with 116 catches for 2,144 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also had three punt returns for touchdowns. Switzer continued his football career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he played as a wide receiver and return specialist. He had an impressive college career, setting multiple school and conference records, including the NCAA career punt return touchdown record with seven. In his senior year, he was named first-team All-ACC as a return specialist and second-team All-ACC as a wide receiver. In 2017, Switzer was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. He played for the Cowboys for one season before being traded to the Oakland Raiders in 2018. However, he was later waived by the Raiders and picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played for two seasons before being released in 2020.

Switzer's football career has been characterized by his versatility as a return specialist and wide receiver. His ability to make explosive plays and consistently deliver on special teams has made him a valuable asset to the teams he has played for.
