Sam Baker was an accomplished American Football player who made his mark as an offensive tackle for the University of Southern California (USC) Trojans. Born on May 30, 1985, in Tustin, California, Sam was the son of former NFL player, Mark Baker. Following in his father's footsteps, Sam showed an early potential for the game and grew up playing football through high school. In 2008, Sam Baker was drafted as a first-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Falcons for six seasons, where he was recognized for his durability and consistency. He became the team's starting left tackle, and in 2009, he was one of just two Falcons to start all 16 games. Despite battling with injuries, Baker continued to be a key player for the team until his retirement in 2015. Sam Baker's contribution to American football earned him a place among USC's All-Decade team and recognition as one of the top college tackles of his generation.
