Sharrif Floyd Autographs
Sharrif Floyd was born on May 28, 1991, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended George Washington High School and played football as a defensive tackle. He had a remarkable high school career, which earned him a spot as the number one defensive tackle in the country, according to Scout.com. He later committed to the University of Florida to play for the Florida Gators.
During his tenure at the University of Florida, Sharrif Floyd continued to showcase his skills as a defensive tackle. He earned All-American honors and was named to the All-SEC first-team in 2012. That same year, he declared for the NFL draft and was selected in the first round as the 23rd overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2013. He signed a four-year contract with the Vikings, and he played for them until 2016. He played 44 games for the team and recorded nine sacks and 95 tackles.
During his time with the Vikings, Sharrif Floyd suffered a knee injury that ultimately ended his career. He underwent several surgeries and rehab, but his knee never fully recovered, and he was never able to play football professionally again. Despite the setback, Sharrif Floyd made a significant impact on the field during his time in the NFL. He was known for his quickness, strength, and agility, and his contributions greatly helped improve the Minnesota Vikings' defense.
