Shelton Quarles Autographs
Shelton Quarles is a former American football linebacker who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on September 11, 1971, in Nashville, Tennessee. Quarles played his college football at Vanderbilt University, where he was a standout linebacker. He finished his collegiate career with 440 tackles, which is the second-most in Vanderbilt history.
Quarles was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Miami Dolphins in 1994. However, he was waived after just one year with the team. He then signed with the Canadian Football League's British Columbia Lions, where he played for two seasons before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1997. Quarles played for the Buccaneers for 10 seasons, from 1997 to 2006. During his time with the team, he was a key member of the defense that won the Super Bowl in 2002. He finished his career with 624 tackles, 11 sacks, and 9 interceptions.
After retiring from football, Quarles stayed involved with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization. He served as the team's director of pro scouting from 2007 to 2013 before being promoted to director of football operations in 2014. In 2019, Quarles was named to the Buccaneers' Ring of Honor, which recognizes the team's greatest players and contributors. Quarles is also active in the community, and he founded the organization IMPACT, which provides mentorship and resources to at-risk youth in the Tampa Bay area.
