Stephen Paea Autographs

Stephen Paea is a retired football nose tackle, born on May 11, 1988, in Auckland, New Zealand. His parents moved from Tonga to Auckland, and he spent the first few years of his life there before his family moved to the United States when he was eight years old. Paea had a successful high school career as a football player, where he was recognized as the top defensive tackle in the state of Oregon.
Paea was recruited by Oregon State University after high school and played for the Beavers from 2008 to 2010. In his junior year, he set an NCAA record for the most reps in the 225lbs bench press with 49 reps, beating the previous record of 45 repetitions. He was also recognized by the Pac 10 Conference as the Defensive Player of the Year. Paea was later drafted by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
During his professional football career, Paea played for several teams, including the Bears, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, and Dallas Cowboys. In his rookie year with the Bears, he played in all 16 games, recorded two sacks, and made 18 tackles. He continued to perform well in the following years and signed a four-year, $21 million contract with the Redskins in 2015. Paea announced his retirement in 2018, citing persistent injuries that impeded his performance. He is remembered as a skilled and hardworking player who contributed greatly to the teams he played for in the NFL.
