Steve Slaton Autographs
Steve Slaton is a former American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for four seasons from 2008 to 2011. Slaton was born on January 4, 1986, in Levittown, Pennsylvania, and attended Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. In high school, Slaton was a standout player, rushing for over 2,000 yards in his senior year and earning multiple All-State and All-League honors.
After graduating high school, Steve Slaton committed to the University of West Virginia, where he played college football for the Mountaineers. During his time at West Virginia, Slaton became one of the most prolific rushers in college football, earning numerous accolades and breaking several records. In his sophomore year, he rushed for 1,744 yards and 16 touchdowns and was named a first-team All-American. Slaton led the Mountaineers to a Sugar Bowl victory over Georgia in the same season and was named the game's MVP.
In 2008, Steve Slaton entered the NFL draft and was selected in the third round by the Houston Texans. His rookie season was a breakout year as he rushed for 1,282 yards and nine touchdowns, earning him a trip to the Pro Bowl. However, injuries and a decrease in production in subsequent seasons eventually led to Slaton's release from the Texans in 2011. Slaton also spent time with the Miami Dolphins and the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts but retired in 2015 after four seasons in the NFL. Despite a relatively short professional career, Steve Slaton left a lasting impact on the football world with his impressive college achievements and his undeniable talent as a running back in the NFL.
