Steve Tasker is a former American football player who played for the Buffalo Bills from 1986 until 1997. He was born on April 10, 1962, in Smith Center, Kansas. Tasker was a standout player at Northwestern Missouri State University, where he played wide receiver and set numerous school records. Tasker joined the Buffalo Bills in 1986, where he quickly established himself as one of the best special teams players in the league. He was known for his speed, toughness, and ability to make game-changing plays. Tasker was selected to the Pro Bowl seven times for his special teams contributions, tying the record for the most selections by a player in that position. He was also named to the All-Pro First Team three times and Second Team three times. In addition to his special teams duties, Tasker occasionally played on offense, catching 51 passes for 779 yards and nine touchdowns during his career.

After retiring from playing in 1998, Tasker entered into a successful broadcasting career. He worked as a color commentator for CBS and later joined the Buffalo Bills radio broadcast team. Tasker was inducted into the Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame in 2007 and was a finalist for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019. Despite not being selected, he remains one of the most respected players in Bills history and is widely regarded as one of the best special teams players of all time.
