Thomas Davis Autographs
Thomas Davis is a former American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 16 seasons. He was born on March 22, 1983, in Shellman, Georgia. Davis attended the University of Georgia, where he played college football for the Bulldogs from 2002 to 2004. In his collegiate career, he recorded 272 tackles, 10 sacks, and three interceptions. He was a first-team All-SEC selection in 2003 and 2004.
In the 2005 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers selected Thomas Davis in the first round with the 14th overall pick. He played for the Panthers from 2005 to 2018, making three Pro Bowl appearances (2015, 2016, and 2018). Davis became a leader and a cornerstone of the Carolina defense, known for his hard-hitting tackles and his versatility to play multiple positions. Over his career in Carolina, he recorded 1,098 total tackles, 28 sacks, 18 forced fumbles, and 13 interceptions while playing in 176 games.
In 2019, Davis signed with the Los Angeles Chargers, playing one season before retiring from the NFL. Throughout his career, Thomas Davis earned a reputation as a respected player on and off the field. He has been active in charitable works, including his foundation for assisting underprivileged youth. For his contributions to the game of football and his philanthropic efforts, Thomas Davis became the 2020 winner of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, which honors an NFL player for volunteering and charity work.
