Tim Shaw is a retired professional American football player who made a name for himself in the NFL as a linebacker and special teams player. Born in Livonia, Michigan, in 1984, Shaw developed a passion for football from a young age and excelled as a linebacker at his high school. However, it wasn't until after Shaw's playing days were over that he truly left his mark on the football community. In 2014, he was diagnosed with ALS, a degenerative disease that affects the nervous system and eventually leads to paralysis. Rather than be defeated by the disease, Shaw chose to use his platform to raise awareness and funds for ALS research, and he became a spokesperson for the ALS Association. He also started the "Tim Shaw Shave Off," an annual event in which thousands of people raise money for ALS research by shaving their heads. Shaw's bravery and selflessness in the face of a devastating illness have made him an inspiration to many, both in and out of the football world.
