Brown's professional football career spanned from 1960 to 1969, during which he played for the Green Bay Packers, Washington Redskins, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown is best remembered for his years with the Packers, where he played under legendary coach Vince Lombardi. Brown played a significant role in the Packers' victories in Super Bowl I and II, as well as the 1965 NFL Championship Game. He was a versatile player who played as a safety, cornerback, and kicker. After retiring from professional football, Brown remained active in the sports industry. He served as the head coach of the Washington Federals of the short-lived United States Football League (USFL) in 1983. Brown was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 1975 and the University of Minnesota Hall of Fame in 2003, in recognition of his contributions to the sport of football.
