Tom Skladany is an ex-professional American Football player who is best known for his time as a punter in the NFL from 1978 to 1987. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, in 1955, he attended Boardman High School, where he excelled in both football and basketball. As a high school athlete, Skladany was named an All-American punter and later went on to attend Ohio State University, where he played for four years and became a two-time All-American. Even though he never played in a Super Bowl, Skladany's impressive career as a punter garnered him numerous accolades and awards. He was inducted into the Ohio State University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010 and was named to the Cleveland Browns Legends Club in 2005. After retiring from football, Sklandany went on to run a successful financial services business and remains active in the football community as a coach and mentor.
