Tommy Mason was a professional American football player born on July 8, 1939, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University, where he played for the LSU Tigers football team from 1957 to 1959. Tommy was known as one of the top running backs of his time and was a consensus All-American in his senior year. After retiring from football, Tommy Mason became a successful businessman and remained active in the sports world. In 1998, he was inducted into the LSU Athletic Hall of Fame, and in 2019, he was selected for the Vikings Ring of Honor, recognizing his contribution to the team's success.
