Tony Franklin Autographs
Tony Franklin was born on November 22, 1956, in Big Spring, Texas. He was a standout athlete in high school, excelling in both football and track. In 1975, Tony enrolled at Texas A&M University, where he played college football for the Aggies. He was one of the most talented kickers in the nation and was known for his impressive accuracy and consistency. He set the record for the longest field goal in Texas A&M history at 64 yards. Tony graduated from Texas A&M in 1979 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and embarked on a professional football career.
In 1982, Tony Franklin was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as a kicker and punter. He quickly rose to fame in the NFL, earning a Pro Bowl selection during his rookie year. Tony played for the Eagles for four seasons before being traded to the New England Patriots. In 1986, he joined the Miami Dolphins before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams. Tony finished his professional football career with the Minnesota Vikings in 1988. He was recognized as one of the greatest kickers of his time and was inducted into the Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994.
After retiring from professional football, Tony Franklin became a kicking coach and founded the Kicking System. Through his company, he has trained many high school, college, and professional football kickers, including NFL stars such as Matt Prater, David Akers, Jason Elam, and Stephen Gostkowski. Tony’s approach to kicking focuses on technique, mental preparation, and physical conditioning. He has provided a platform for many athletes to achieve lifelong success and has created a legacy in American football.
