Travis Beckum Autographs
Travis Beckum is a former American football player who was born on January 24, 1987, in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. He played high school football at Oak Creek High School, where he was named the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year in 2005. After high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin, where he played college football for four years. In his senior year, he was named first-team All-Big Ten and was a finalist for the John Mackey Award, which is given to the best tight end in college football.
Beckum was selected in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. He played for the Giants for four seasons, primarily as a backup tight end and special teams player. His best season was in 2010 when he had 13 receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns. In 2013, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks but was released during training camp. He then signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played in five games before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
After his playing career ended, Beckum continued to be involved in football as a coach. He served as a graduate assistant at the University of Wisconsin for two years before becoming an assistant coach at Beloit College in Wisconsin. In 2021, he was hired as the tight ends coach at Eastern Kentucky University. Despite his relatively short career in the NFL, Beckum left a lasting impact on the game as a talented tight end and an inspiration to young players who aspire to play at the highest levels of football.
