Kelce started his football journey while attending Cleveland Heights High School, where he played as a quarterback. His passion for the game improved when he chose to join the University of Cincinnati, where he played for the Cincinnati Bearcats as a tight end. At the end of his college career, Kelce was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the NFL Draft in 2013.

He remained consistent and recorded career highs of 103 receptions, 1,336 yards, and ten touchdowns in the 2018 NFL season, assisting the Chiefs to make it to their third consecutive AFC championship game. It was during this period that Kelce gained recognition as an elite tight end, and his journey continues to inspire new players in the game.
