Wes Chandler Autographs
Wes Chandler is a former American football player who played for the San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons during his 11 year career in the NFL. Chandler was born on August 22, 1956, in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He played college football at the University of Florida and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
Chandler was known for his speed and agility on the field, making him one of the most dynamic receivers in the NFL during his era. He was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 1978 NFL Draft but was soon traded to the San Diego Chargers. Chandler had a breakout season in 1982, where he led the league in receiving yards, yards per catch and total touchdowns, earning him his first Pro Bowl selection.
Throughout his career, Chandler was a four-time Pro Bowler, two-time All Pro selection and helped lead the Chargers to a Super Bowl appearance in 1982. He finished his career with 559 receptions for 8,985 yards and 56 touchdowns. Chandler was inducted into the San Diego Chargers Hall of Fame in 2001 and the Florida Sports Hall of Fame in 1998. His impact on the game of football will be remembered for years to come.
