Wilber Marshall Autographs
Wilber Marshall was an American football linebacker who was born in Titusville, Florida, on April 18, 1962. He attended the University of Florida, where he established himself as one of the greatest players in the school's history. Marshall played for the Florida Gators from 1980 to 1983, and he was an All-American in both his junior and senior seasons. In his senior year, he led the Gators to the Southeastern Conference title and was awarded the Jack Lambert Trophy as the nation's top linebacker.
After his college career, Marshall was selected in the first round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He immediately made an impact on the team’s defense, joining a legendary unit that was known as the “Monsters of the Midway.” In his rookie season, he was a key contributor to the Bears' dominant defense, which helped them reach the Super Bowl. The following year, he was even better, recording 96 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and two interceptions. In Super Bowl XX, Marshall was a standout performer, making numerous big plays in the Bears' 46-10 victory over the New England Patriots. He was named to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams three times apiece, and he won a second Super Bowl with the Washington Redskins in 1991.
Marshall’s football career came to an end in 1995, but he left an indelible mark on the sport. He was a fierce and relentless competitor, and he was one of the most feared hitters of his era. In addition to his Super Bowl rings, he also won a National Championship with the Florida Gators, and he was inducted into both the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame and the Chicago Bears Ring of Honor. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history, and his contributions to the game will long be remembered.
