Will Shields is a former American football offensive guard who spent his entire 14-year career in the National Football League (NFL) with the Kansas City Chiefs. Born on September 15, 1971, in Fort Riley, Kansas, Shields attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he played college football as a tackle. Shields played in 231 games for the Chiefs, starting in all of them. He was selected to the Pro Bowl twelve times, tying him for the most appearances by a guard in NFL history, and was also named an All-Pro nine times. He was an integral part of the Chiefs' offensive line, which helped the team reach the playoffs seven times during his career. Shields also set a record for the most consecutive starts by an offensive lineman, with 223, which speaks to his durability and consistency on the field.

After his retirement in 2007, Shields was widely recognized for his contributions to the sport. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015. He has also been involved in various charitable endeavors, such as establishing his own foundation to promote physical fitness and good nutrition among children.
