Meg Mallon Autographs
Meg Mallon is a retired American professional golfer who competed on the LPGA Tour from 1987 to 2010. She was born on April 14, 1963, in Natick, Massachusetts, and started playing golf at the age of 10. Mallon played college golf at Ohio State University, where she was a four-time All-American and won the NCAA individual championship in her freshman year. She turned pro in 1987 and won her debut tournament at the Mayflower Classic.
Mallon won 18 LPGA Tour titles in her career, including four major championships. She claimed her first major at the 1991 du Maurier Classic, following it up with a victory at the U.S. Women's Open in 1991 and another du Maurier Classic title in 2000. Mallon's fourth major win came at the 2004 Women's British Open. She also represented the United States in eight Solheim Cup matches and was a member of five winning teams. Mallon was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2017 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest American female golfers of all time.
After retiring from professional golf, Mallon served as captain of the U.S. Solheim Cup team in 2013, leading the team to victory over Europe in Colorado. She also worked as a television commentator for the Golf Channel and NBC Sports. Outside of golf, Mallon is active in philanthropy as a board member of the LPGA Foundation and a supporter of numerous charitable organizations. She is known for her exceptional ball-striking ability, steadfast competitiveness, and gracious demeanor both on and off the course.
