Aaron Broten Autographs
Aaron Broten is a former professional ice hockey forward who had a successful career in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the American Hockey League (AHL). He was born on November 14, 1960, in Roseau, Minnesota. Broten's hockey talents were evident from a young age, and he played for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers before getting drafted to the NHL.
Broten began his NHL career in 1980 when he was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 2nd round of the NHL Entry Draft. He spent five seasons with the team and helped them get to the playoffs in his final season before being traded to the Minnesota North Stars. In his first full season with the North Stars, Broten scored 76 points (31 goals, 45 assists) and was a significant contributor to the team's success. He finished his NHL career with the North Stars and also played a year for the Quebec Nordiques before retiring in 1993.
Throughout his career, Broten was known for his speed and skillful playmaking abilities. He was a two-time NHL All-Star and was inducted into the University of Minnesota Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011. Broten also played a key role in Team USA's historic "Miracle on Ice" victory in the 1980 Winter Olympics, where he recorded two goals and three assists in the tournament. Today, Broten remains an active member of the hockey community and works as a youth hockey coach and motivational speaker.
