Adam Burt Autographs
Adam Burt was born on January 15, 1969, in Detroit, Michigan. He is a retired professional hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for thirteen seasons. Burt started playing junior hockey in his hometown and then moved on to the University of Denver. In 1987, the Boston Bruins drafted him in the second round of the NHL Entry Draft.
Burt made his NHL debut with the Bruins in the 1989-90 season. He immediately established himself as a stay-at-home defenceman with an excellent penalty-killing ability. Burt played for the Bruins for four seasons before moving on to play for the Hartford Whalers, San Jose Sharks, and Philadelphia Flyers. In 1993, Burt was one of the most noticeably improved players in the NHL, and his contributions helped the Whalers reach the playoffs for the first time in five years. He played his final NHL season with the Atlanta Thrashers in 2001-02, and retired at the end of the season. Throughout his career, Burt played 747 NHL games, scoring 43 goals and 125 assists.
After retiring from hockey, Adam Burt became an Assistant Coach with the Atlanta Thrashers and Carolina Hurricanes. He is currently the Director of Amateur Scouting for the Hurricanes. Burt also actively participates in various community outreach programs, including youth hockey programs and charity events. His legacy still impacts many young hockey players, who hope to emulate his commitment, passion, and loyalty towards the game of hockey.
