Akim Aliu is a former professional Canadian ice hockey player. Born on April 24, 1989, in Okene, Nigeria, Aliu grew up with a passion for hockey that would eventually lead him to a career in the sport. Aliu's hockey career began in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he was drafted by the Windsor Spitfires in the second round of the 2005 OHL Priority Selection. He played for various teams in the OHL, including the Sudbury Wolves and the London Knights.
