Alex Delvecchio Autographs
Alex Delvecchio was a Canadian professional hockey player, born on December 4, 1931, in Fort William, Ontario. He played the center position for the Detroit Red Wings for 22 seasons from 1950 to 1973. Delvecchio was an instrumental member of the famous Production Line, which saw him team up with Gordie Howe and Ted Lindsay to form one of the most dominant forward lines in NHL history.
Delvecchio won three Stanley Cup titles in his career with the Red Wings and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1977. He finished his career with 456 goals and 825 assists, earning him a spot as the Red Wings' all-time leading scorer, a record that would stand until it was broken by Steve Yzerman. Beyond his on-ice success, Delvecchio is fondly remembered for his humility and dedication to the team, as he spent his entire career with the Detroit Red Wings.
After retiring from playing, Delvecchio remained with the Red Wings organization as a coach and scout for many years. In 1987, the team retired Delvecchio's number 10 jersey, cementing his place in Red Wings history. He also served as the interim head coach during the 1976-77 season and was the Red Wings' general manager from 1974 to 1977.
