Alexander Edler Autographs
Alexander Edler is a Swedish professional ice hockey player widely regarded for his smooth skating and defensive abilities. He was born on April 21, 1986, in Ă–stersund, Sweden, and began playing hockey as a teenager. In 2004, he was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round of the NHL draft, marking the beginning of his hockey career.
After completing his junior career in Sweden, Edler moved to North America in 2006, where he played for both the Manitoba Moose and the Vancouver Canucks. He quickly established himself as a key player on the Canucks' roster, earning a reputation as a strong defensive presence on the ice. He has accrued numerous accolades during his career, including being named to the NHL All-Star Game in 2012 and receiving the "Cyclone Taylor Award" as the Canucks' top defenseman three times.
Despite a few injury setbacks throughout his career, Edler has remained a consistent and effective player on the ice. As of 2021, he has played over 900 regular-season games with the Canucks, making him one of the longest-tenured players in franchise history.
