Andrew Desjardins Autographs
Andrew Desjardins is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey forward known for his toughness and physicality on the ice. Born on July 27, 1986, in Lively, Ontario, Desjardins played junior hockey for the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He made his professional debut with the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League (AHL) in the 2008-2009 season, where he played for three seasons before he was called up to play in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Andrew Desjardins played in the NHL for ten seasons with several teams such as the San Jose Sharks, Chicago Blackhawks, and the New York Rangers. He became popular for his style of play, as he was always willing to take on anyone on the ice. He won the Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015 and scored the first goal for his team in Game 5 of the finals. Desjardins retired from professional hockey in 2019 and has since taken up coaching. He is now the head coach of the Windsor Spitfires Junior hockey team in the OHL.
Andrew Desjardins earned a reputation as a team player and a strong leader on and off the ice. He was a valuable asset to any team he played for and was highly respected by his colleagues. In 2016, while playing for the Chicago Blackhawks, he was presented with the Steve Larmer Award, which recognizes a player who exemplifies the spirit of dedication to the team and the sport of hockey. Desjardins' physical style of play may have been intimidating to some, but his fierce competitiveness and dedication to the game made him a fan favorite and a respected opponent.
