Andy Hebenton Autographs

Andy Hebenton was born on January 25, 1929, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He went on to become one of the most accomplished ice hockey players, playing a total of 19 years in the National Hockey League (NHL) and another two years in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Hebenton had an incredible career that saw him play for four teams, win multiple awards, and establish several records that stand to this day.
Hebenton debuted in the NHL in 1949 with the New York Rangers, where he spent five seasons before moving on to the Boston Bruins for one year. He then spent three years with the Toronto Maple Leafs before finally moving on to the expansion team, the New York Islanders. Hebenton played with the Islanders for the rest of his NHL career, finishing with a remarkable feat of having played 630 consecutive games, a record that stood for over two decades. He also scored 20 or more goals in eight consecutive seasons, which became another NHL record.
Hebenton's success in the NHL made him a notable player in the hockey world. He won numerous individual awards and earned the respect of his teammates and opponents. He was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 1982, and his impressive career was recognized by the NHL when he was honored as one of their top 100 players of all time in 2017. Hebenton passed away on February 9, 2015, leaving behind a legacy as one of the greats of the game.
