Anthony Mantha Autographs
Anthony Mantha was born on September 16th, 1994, in Longueuil, Canada. He was raised in a hockey-loving family and began his skating journey at a young age. Mantha started playing hockey for the Val d'Or Foreurs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) in 2011. He quickly caught the eye of scouts for his enormous build, exceptional skating abilities, and the skill to score goals.
Mantha was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in 2013, 20th overall pick in the National Hockey League (NHL) draft. He began his professional career in the American Hockey League (AHL), where he played for the Grand Rapids Griffins. In his first season as a Griffin, he racked up an impressive 15 goals and 18 assists, and his second year, he was voted onto the AHL All-Rookie Team. It was only in 2016 that the Red Wings called Mantha up to the NHL. In his debut season, he scored his first NHL goal in the first game and went ahead to score a total of 17 goals and 36 points.
Throughout his career, Mantha has earned his reputation as an incredibly skilled forward who can shoot, pass, and skate with great speed and control. His large size enables him to play a physical game that can be intimidating for even the toughest of defenders. Mantha has continued to progress in his career, becoming a crucial player on the Red Wings. He recently signed a four-year, $22.8 million deal with the team, showing that he is a major asset both on and off the ice.
