Bob Beers Autographs
Bob Beers was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1967. He began his hockey career at Harvard University where he played for three seasons, earning All-Ivy honors in 1987 and 1988. He then joined the United States Olympic team and competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta. After the Olympics, Beers signed with the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL) and played for six seasons with the team.
During his time with the Bruins, Beers was known for his strong defensive play and leadership on and off the ice. He was a key member of the team that made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1990, but ultimately lost to the Edmonton Oilers. Beers also played for the San Jose Sharks and the Tampa Bay Lightning before retiring from professional hockey in 1997.
After his playing career, Beers stayed involved in the hockey world by becoming a color commentator for NESN, the broadcast network for the Boston Bruins. He also founded a hockey school in his hometown of Pittsburgh, where he coaches and teaches young players the skills and values of the game. Bob Beers is a respected figure in the hockey community and continues to give back to the sport that has given him so much.
