Brady Skjei is a professional ice hockey defenseman who was born on March 26, 1994, in Lakeville, Minnesota. Skjei played youth hockey with the Lakeville South Cougars before briefly playing with the Waterloo Black Hawks in the United States Hockey League during the 2010-11 season. Brady Skjei went on to play college hockey at the University of Minnesota from 2012 to 2016. During his time as a Golden Gopher, Skjei was able to capture the Big Ten Championship twice while also earning a First Team All-Star nomination. More about Brady Skjei

Brady Skjei's career took an unexpected turn during the 2019-20 season when he was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes. The trade was a bit of a surprise to many of Skjei's fans, but Skjei adapted well to his new surroundings, playing in seven games for the Hurricane's during the remainder of the season.
