Brandon Bollig is a retired professional hockey player born on January 31, 1987, in Saint Charles, Missouri, United States. Bollig began his hockey career playing for St. Louis Bandits in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). During the 2007-08 season, he helped lead the team to the Robertson Cup championship. After playing two seasons with the Bandits, he committed to playing at St. Lawrence University, where he played college hockey for four years before starting his professional career. Bollig began his professional hockey career with the Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League (NHL) during the 2011-12 season. The winger became known for his physical play style and was frequently involved in fights. During the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Bollig scored three goals and three assists in 18 games as the Blackhawks won their second championship in four years. After spending three seasons with the Blackhawks, he was traded to the Calgary Flames, where he played for two seasons before being traded to the San Jose Sharks. Bollig finished his NHL career with 125 games played, seven goals, 11 assists, and 392 penalty minutes.

In September 2018, Bollig announced his retirement from professional hockey and started working as a radio host for a local sports radio station in Chicago. Despite his short career in the NHL, Bollig became a fan favorite and was recognized for his physicality and contributions to his team's overall success.
