Brock Nelson Autographs
Brock Nelson was born on October 15, 1991, in Warroad, Minnesota. He grew up playing hockey in his hometown and eventually joined the Warroad High School Warriors, where he played for four seasons. During his time with the Warriors, he led the team to two Minnesota state high school hockey tournaments and was named All-State twice. He then joined the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks and played three seasons with the team. In his final collegiate season, he was named to the All-WCHA First Team and was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, given annually to the top collegiate hockey player in the United States.
In 2010, Nelson was drafted by the New York Islanders in the first round, 30th overall, in the NHL Entry Draft. He spent five seasons in the Islanders organization, primarily with their AHL affiliate team, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He made his NHL debut in the 2013-2014 season and has since become a staple in the Islanders’ lineup. Nelson has been a consistent scorer for the team, tallying 20 or more goals in four of his seven full NHL seasons. He has also been recognized for his leadership on and off the ice, being named an alternate captain in the 2019-2020 season.
Off the ice, Nelson is described as a humble and hardworking individual. He is actively involved in the Islanders’ community outreach initiatives and even started his own charity program called “Brock’s Bunch,” which provides children with opportunities to attend Islanders games and go on ice experiences. Nelson’s dedication to the game of hockey and his community has made him a fan favorite both on and off the ice.
