Bryan Marchment Autograph

Bryan Marchment, born on May 1, 1969, was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Marchment started his junior hockey career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Belleville Bulls. After being selected 16th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, he made his professional debut in the 1989-1990 season. He played for numerous teams during his 18 years' career in the National Hockey League (NHL), including the Winnipeg Jets, Hartford Whalers, Edmonton Oilers, Tampa Bay Lightning, San Jose Sharks, Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Calgary Flames. Bryan Marchment was primarily a defensive-minded defenceman that stood out for his physical play, fearless approach, and tough style. He was known for delivering hits that often resulted in suspensions and fines but were also effective in demoralizing the opposition's top players. However, he could also put up points, holding a career-high of 7 goals and 23 assists in a season. Throughout his career, Marchment played in 926 regular-season games, tallying 39 goals, 149 assists, and 2060 penalty minutes. He also played in 106 playoff games, including a run to the Stanley Cup Finals with San Jose in 2004.

After retiring from playing, Bryan Marchment became a professional scout for the Edmonton Oilers in 2012. He held the position until 2018 before switching to the scouting staff of the St. Louis Blues. Marchment's name is still well-known in the hockey world for his on-ice toughness and dedication to the game, leaving a legacy as one of the toughest defenders to play the game.
