Desjardins' professional hockey career began in 2006 when he signed with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. From there, he quickly moved up to play for various AHL teams before finally making his NHL debut with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2010. While his time in the NHL was brief, Desjardins continued to play in the AHL until his retirement in 2018. Throughout his career, Desjardins was known for his athleticism, quick reflexes, and mental toughness.
