Chris Nilan Autographs
Chris Nilan is a former professional ice hockey player from the United States. He was born on February 9, 1958, in Boston, Massachusetts, and played in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a right winger. In his seventeen-year-long professional career, Nilan played for several NHL teams, including the Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and Boston Bruins. He was known for his aggressive playing style and physicality, frequently engaging in fights and delivering heavy hits.
Nilan began his NHL career in 1980 when he was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens. He quickly established himself as a tough enforcer and became a fan favorite. In the 1985-1986 season, Nilan had his best year as a professional, scoring 21 goals and 39 points to go along with 358 penalty minutes. He was a crucial member of the Canadiens team that won the Stanley Cup in 1986, contributing with his physical play and toughness.
Nilan retired from professional hockey in 1992 after playing more than 600 NHL games. He finished his career with 3,043 penalty minutes, making him one of the most penalized players in NHL history. After retirement, Nilan became a broadcaster and also authored an autobiography titled "Chris Nilan: Fighting Back." He remains a beloved figure in Montreal, where he is remembered for his dedication and toughness on the ice.
