Chris Terreri Autographs
Chris Terreri, born on November 15, 1964, in Providence, Rhode Island, is a former professional ice hockey goaltender. He began his hockey career while attending Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, where he played for its Division III Men's Ice Hockey team. The school's hockey program awarded him twice as the Best Defensive Player and, in 1985, as the Most Valuable Player.
In 1986, Chris Terreri was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the 5th round of the NHL Draft, where he started his professional hockey career as a backup goaltender. However, he soon after became an essential part of the team, and the underdog Devils eventually triumphed over the higher-ranked Boston Bruins on their way to the 1988 Wales Conference Final. The following year, he helped the Devils to reach their first-ever Stanley Cup Final but lost to Edmonton Oilers. He continued to play with the Devils until 1996 before joining the San Jose Sharks, Chicago Blackhawks, and the New York Islanders, retiring from his professional career at the end of the 2000-2001 season. He played a total of 406 NHL games, recording a 2.94 goals-against average and 148 wins.
After retiring from playing hockey, Chris Terreri continued his career as a professional, working as a goaltending coach for various teams. In 2015, he began serving as the goaltending coach for the New Jersey Devils, where he was a longtime player. Under his guidance, the Devils' goaltenders, including Cory Schneider and Keith Kinkaid, were noted for their strong performances, helping the team to win many games. Chris Terreri remains a valued member of the NHL community, and his legacy, both as a player and coach, is one of excellence and dedication to the sport.
