Craig Muni was born on July 19, 1962, in Toronto, Canada. He played ice hockey for the Toronto Nationals before joining the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds as a defenceman in the OHL. In 1980, he was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs, but he never played a game for them. Instead, he ended up with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he spent the first five years of his NHL career. He played an important role in the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup Finals in 1992 but ultimately lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Muni played with different NHL teams during his career, including the Buffalo Sabres, the Hartford Whalers, the Winnipeg Jets, the Dallas Stars, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Later, he worked as a scout for the Edmonton Oilers and the Blackhawks.
