Craig Rivet Autographs
Craig Rivet was born on September 13, 1974, in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. He was a professional ice hockey defenseman who played for several teams, including the Montreal Canadiens, San Jose Sharks, Buffalo Sabres, and Columbus Blue Jackets. Rivet began his hockey career playing junior hockey for the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). In 1992, he was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the third round, 68th overall.
Rivet made his NHL debut in the 1995-1996 season and played for eight years with the Canadiens. He was known for his physical style of play and his willingness to fight for his team. He was also a reliable player in his own end and was an assistant captain during his time in Montreal. In 2007, Rivet was traded to the San Jose Sharks, where he played for one and a half seasons before being traded again to the Buffalo Sabres.
Rivet played for the Sabres for three seasons and was named team captain in 2008. He played his final NHL season with the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2010-2011 season before retiring. Throughout his career, Rivet played in over 900 NHL games and scored 50 goals and 188 assists. He was a respected player on and off the ice and was well-liked by his teammates and fans. Today, Rivet continues to be involved in hockey as a coach and is also active in various charitable organizations.
